ORGANIZATION
|
Building Bridges for Education (BBFE), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, provides educational resources for children and youth who reside in underserved or impoverished communities. We establish and cultivate professional relationships with stakeholders of local grass-root organizations, orphanages, and non-governmental organizations (NGO) to assist in strengthening primary school curriculums. Educators are provided with enriching scholastic tools and resources to cultivate learning in a holistic, creative, fun, and healthy environment in Africa and in the United States.

MISSION
Building Bridges for Education is comprised of two missions. First, we support and enhance current educational systems for African communities by training and advancing knowledge to primary school teachers and instructors and equipping them with computer technologies and empirical instructive programs.
Secondly, in the United States, our mission is to expose, educate, and inspire minority female youth residing in marginalized, underserved communities with interactive, engaging STEAM related workshops that are created to empower and prepare them for the world of tomorrow.

BBFE FOUNDER
|
After volunteering at Tupo Orphanage in Arusha, Tanzania, Telicia (Lisa) W. Dudley, a native and current resident in the state of Virginia, felt a strong pull on her life to create and establish Building Bridges for Education. Witnessing scores of impoverished children who lack fundamental educational provisions disheartened and enlightened Lisa to the realization that poverty flourishes in the absence of scholastic attainment due to meager resources and opportunities. Lisa strives for continued support in her endeavor to carry out this mission.
